Daymer House is a large and elegant Edwardian property of Arts and Craft design set in its own spacious grounds directly facing the lovely sandy beach at Daymer Bay on the mouth of the Camel Estuary. Bedrooms overlook St.Enodoc Golf course, pretty St.Enodoc church, Brea Hill and of course, the sea in this beautiful and peaceful area in the heart of Betjeman country. The spectacular coastal footpath is nearby.
Rock, wonderful for sailing, and the pretty harbour town of Padstow can be reached by walking along the beach where you will experience some of the finest marine views in this country. A ferry runs every day from Rock across the estuary to Padstow with its quaint and interesting shops, variety of restaurants including Rick Stein's famous fish restaurant. Boat trips along the coast are available at the harbour. Some of the best surfing in Cornwall can be experienced at nearby Polzeath, as well as safe swimming at Daymer Bay; windsurfing, water-skiing, canoeing, sea fishing trips at Rock; golf at St.Enodoc or Roserrow links; walking the countless scenic footpaths, cycling the Camel Trail, horse riding or just soaking up the sun on the beach and all close by. the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are within easy reach, as well as some of the most beautiful National Trust properties and gardens.
Open from March to November, we have large comfortable double bedrooms with a private shower room or a twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom, All with tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen televisions, WiFi, dressing gowns and hairdryers.
Delicious and ample home cooked breakfasts using local produce where possible are included. All areas are non-smoking and we do not accept dogs.
